It’s been twenty years since A Goofy Movie hit theaters and became one of the most impactful father-son films of that generation. To commemorate the fan-favorite film, Disney has announced a special panel planned for this year’s D23 Expo (which runs August 14-16, 2015).
UPDATE (7/31/15): We original reported that the new Darkwing Duck comic books from Joe Books were coming later this year. We have now received word from individuals on the project that the DW comics have been shelved for the time being in consideration of other “duck projects”.
Jim Hill of Jim Hill Media fame was recently on The Daily Disney Blog Podcast and had some interesting comments about the future of the action figure/ video game hybrid Disney Infinity. At the 1 hour and 30 second mark of the show, host Brad Hughes asked Jim about Darkwing Duck, to which after first talking a little about the amazing work comic artist Amy Mebberson and James Silvani have done, dropped this bombshell:
